Thingiverse receives a DMCA notice for 3D printed material

Apparently, people are now enforcing their copyrights to objects manufactured via 3D printing. Print this impossible triangle and you could go to jail.

Even though copyright law was already like this, it’s just kind of sad to think that actually printing a car might be illegal if you had the facilities to do so. I wonder how often this will happen in the future, as 3D printers become less expensive.
