Due to an overflow vulnerability in the hosting script, the hosting page has been taken down, thanks to some so-called ‘terrorists.’ NO USER DATA IS OR WAS AT STAKE, HOWEVER ALL DOWNLOADS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. The only thing that happened was the loss of hours of code. I REALLY hope that the evil people who did this die in a fire. All we were trying to do was give people free file hosting, and these idiots ruined it for everyone.

I would like to thank everyone for trying out Minousoft File Upload while it lasted. It was a good run, and we were happy to serve 25 files at 70MB before the incident. Stay tuned; someday we may create a new file upload system from scratch. Next time I will only use my own code; we were using a modified version of another script.

If you know anything about the attacks, please notify us so that we may pursue legal proceedings, and block the attackers from bothering us again.

The Conficker computer worm, which has infected more than 9 million computers worldwide, will activate its new payload download mechanism tomorrow on April 1st. Make sure that your computers are protected from the worm, and be prepared for any network outages that may occur as a result of the worm traffic. If you have the worm installed on any of your systems, it may compromise your privacy and security (such as your Minousoft account details.) I have included the following Conficker Preparedness Checklist, which you should make sure to follow:

Conficker Preparedness Checklist:

Make sure that your computers are properly firewalled, run antivirus software, and have the latest system updates.

Make sure that your network is properly configured.

Secure your network shares: Make sure that there are no open shares on your computers, and check that the security policy is sufficient. It may be wise to turn off file-sharing altogether.

Fully disable Autorun capabilities on drives.

Do not run any programs that may be unsafe.

Download Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool.

The virus deactivates some security software, so we have mirrored a recent version of the Malicious Software Removal Tool on Minousoft in case you cannot access Microsoft’s website. [Download not found]

If the worm is installed, it may deny access to programs containing these words:
<a href="javascript:;" class="hackadelic-sliderButton"onclick="toggleSlider('#hackadelic-sliderPanel-3')" title="click to expand/collapse slider Click to view program words blocked by Conficker">Click to view program words blocked by Conficker»
It may also block access to web URLs containing the following words:
<a href="javascript:;" class="hackadelic-sliderButton"onclick="toggleSlider('#hackadelic-sliderPanel-4')" title="click to expand/collapse slider Click to view URL words blocked by Conficker">Click to view URL words blocked by Conficker»
